Come on and get it done already!

Still closed - why? According to The Daily Progress we will have to wait until Mid-August before it opens. Check out the pictures below that I took back in November. Looking at the trail then, one would think that there may be a small amount of work to do, something that could be done in a few weeks. Now eight months later the trail still needs another month to prepare. What could possibly take that long? Someone needs to get off their ass and get er done. My tennis shoes and bike have waited long enough.

What used to be Whole Foods

I wonder if the people who buy fireworks here think they are better than everyone else? Do you think they cut you off in the parking lot with their Volvos or did that move down the road too?

picky ones

I didn't know plants had these.

Brave Belly Dancers

These brave ladies held every ones attention while performing. As seen last year at the Virginia Garlic Festival at Revec Vineyards. This year's festival will take place this weekend.

Singing out to the world

This weekend will be the 39th The Fall Foliage Festival Art Show in Waynesboro. Last year we found this man selling his cds.

Heads

Tomorrow we are going to Hillsville, for one huge flea market experience. Here is a picture from last year, I'm not sure what these are or what you do with them but they make a good pic.

The Union Jack in Winchester

We only spent one night in Winchester, but it reminded us a lot of Charlottesville, with a pedestrian mall, good restaurants and interesting shops. If you visit there and like English style pubs, check out the Union Jack.

Life is a highway...

I don't remember the name of this road, but we took it out of Elkton.

Floats Galore

Near the Shenandoah Caverns is this wonderful place called American Celebration on Parade. It is jammed packed with many huge tacky things.

Inside The Yellow Barn.

Very close to the Shenandoah Caverns is a place called the The Yellow Barn. I don't think the owners quite know what to do with it yet, so now the walls are all covered with, um, well, kinda like what you see in the picture here. I did have a problem picking out just one picture, it was hard to chose between dancing ants, squirrels wearing aprons, giant bees, fairies and a four foot rabbit. So... I chose unsuspecting clowns who will soon fall victim to an evil over sized chipmunk. All of these decorations are to inspire us to buy their gift shop items.

Shenandoah Caverns

Guess where we went this Friday. A cavern of natural beauty surrounded by some great man made tackyness. A mere hour and 20 minutes away.

Richmond Greek Festival

Two more from the Richmond Greek Festival. If you once lived near a large Greek community, then this is good way to get that Greek food fix. Always the weekend after Memorial Day.

Getting Ready

I'm behind in posting pictures, this was taken at the Greek Festival in Richmond that took place the weekend after Memorial day.
